This filter wrench works GREAT, I use it on Cat diesel heavy duty filters and Cummins filters, 5" wide filters, it removes them very well if they are not too tight, I came across a filter recently , which was not properly lubricated upon installation and the wrench was able to remove the filter, although slightly damaged. Unfortunately, all fingers were bent. However, since the wrench is less than $20, it was able to remove many filters until it was a super tight filter that was cut in and it came with a ratchet cheat, the 1/2" to 3/8" adapter doesn't cost anything much and splits in half like swiss cheese, rather the manufacturer will drop the adapter and focus more to make it much more This durable wrench fits every filter I've installed on heavy duty diesel engines, including but not limited to coolant filters. Liquids, primary and secondary fuel filters and Cummins compressed gas filters (with a small valve removed at the bottom) and fuel water separators with the plastic cap still tight without damaging the plastic cap, if the filter is very tight the wrench will definitely dig deep, to take the filter off, maybe I'll run my welder the seam, dip my fingers and see if he can make the fingers stiffer and less prone to flexing and breaking. The last problem I had was the bolts holding the gears in place got to be loosened and tightened from time to time, I'd love to see some of the lock nuts. or lock washers available. I just bought my second one.
