Not what I expected. I thought it was just a USB-C dock. I'm not sure what a MacBook looks like or what ports it has, but if you read the description it says it's a MacBook. It has a dual USB-C adapter. To use this you'll need something that requires a dual USB-C connection. I have an Acer Nitro 5 that only has one port. I think they need to promote this dock better. When I looked at it, all I saw was where USB-C Dock was listed. It's well made, but not what I was looking for or needed. i will return it
