Review on πŸ”Œ Anker USB C to Lightning Cable: 3ft MFi Certified Powerline II for iPhone 13 Pro Max, AirPods Pro and More by Ramon Hood

Works as promised! The cable can fast charge iPhone. Only activated when the battery level is low.

I purchased the following Anker products to fast charge my iPhone Xs Max. I'm writing this review after running several different tests. After receiving my 5-port charger, I plugged in the USB-C to Lightning cable and expected to hear a double beep. I haven't seen or seen a fast charging notification for my iPhone. I started doing a little research and decided to download an iOS app called "Amperes Lite" which shows you the current battery level on your iOS device. Check 1: I connected a regular USB to Lightning cable. The maximum power was 9.52. When I started this test, my battery level was already at 90%. Test 2: I connected a NEW Anker USB-C to Lightning cable. The maximum power was still 9.52. The battery level was still at 90%. At this point I was expecting a double beep or some sort of notification that my iPhone was fast charging. But nothing. So I went to the internet. Basically, it seems that any Apple device that supports fast charging will ONLY do so when the battery is very low. Not only that, fast charging lasts up to about 75% and then slows down. At this point I decided drain the battery and try again later. Test 3: Battery charge is below 20%. I then connected the Anker USB-C to the PD port on the 5-port port with the lighting cable and ran the test again on my application. SUCCESS. The results showed a maximum charging speed of 14.28W. I don't know what all this means, but I do know that my battery was around 10-15% when I connected the charger. I went to brush my teeth, get ready for some appointments, and when I came back about 30 minutes later my battery was almost 80% charged. That's all. This works, but you may not hear the double beep or see on-screen notifications. By the way, I also confirmed this with a car charger connected to the PD port. - Charger: Anker 5-port 60W desktop charger with a 30W power delivery port. Charger 30W 5.4A 2 Ports
