I used this successfully on my Mestizo Siamese cat when I brought her home from a shelter - she never scratched the furniture. Well, years go by and now my cat scratches couches (we replaced her with a cat scratching post and she's not very happy with it). I tried No Scratch from the same company because I couldn't find No Stay in local stores. "No Scratch" didn't work for me, she actually likes it. So I'm happy to find "No Stay" on Revain. time for retraining. I'm sure every cat likes/dislikes certain smells, hence the mixed reviews. It's worth trying several approaches. Cat furniture tape (sticky paws) also works well, although it won't stick to all fabrics so cats can pull it off.
