The phone must be removed from the case to fit in the wallet. I wanted a wallet that I could put my phone in without having to take it out of my phone case as I sometimes drop it on concrete or store floors. I just received the wallet so I don't know how it will hold up to everyday use. This is a beautiful wallet and the material is very soft. It has no strap for easy carrying, so it needs one hand to hold it all the time; I wanted something I could use instead of lugging around my whole purse and that wouldn't work for that. My fault for being in a rush and not paying attention to the photos and product description.
