LaZBoy Trafford Executive Chair (Black Model) is a great option if you are looking for an office/desk chair that looks great. At first I was looking for one of those "gaming" car chairs for my home, but most of them cater more to the Fast & Furious market than the middle-aged businessmen who can. a series of silent games to which I belong. Even leather/leather models have way too much branding/logo which is what I wanted. I also considered going all out and buying a Herman Miller Aeron or Mira2 chair, but in the $1,000-$1,300 and up range I wasn't sure I could justify the price. So I took a chance and went with LaZBoy Trafford, mainly because I have several LaZBoy furniture at home (excellent quality and durability), they combine an old-school leather and wood aesthetic that screams luxury and price ( almost €300.00). dollars) is pretty amazing for what you get. First let me tell you that this is a BIG chair! Don't bypass it. It's very plush, very stable and very heavy. It didn't take much time to assemble, the kit has everything you need including an Allen key. I've read other reviews pointing to scratched/torn leather and damaged wood finishes, but my chair didn't have any of these. Cable adjustments work very well and the gas piston cylinder is smooth and solid; no signs of "sinking in" once you've adjusted to your desired chair height. The pitch stiffness knob is quite stiff, but thankfully, once you've adjusted how "slack" the pitch action is, I don't think you need to adjust it too much. Speaking of recline, I wish there was more reach, but it doesn't feel like the chair will tip over when fully reclined. This is a very stable chair. The included casters are made of plastic, but move surprisingly smoothly. However, I'm on a chair mat, so your mileage may vary depending on the floor situation. Finally, the chair is extremely comfortable for me. The differential density seat padding works very well and not only provides good seat cushioning but also 'locks' you in so the backrest can provide adequate lumbar support for your lower back. At the back of the seat is an "air pocket" that allows air to flow freely behind you to cushion "hot spots". this should work because after several hours of sitting in the chair I didn't have any of the warmth/breathing issues that I've had with other leather upholstered chairs. I have used several chairs which are more comfortable. and more ergonomic than this one. First of all, the aforementioned Herman Miller Aeron and Mira chairs. But they cost 4 times more. The LaZBoy Trafford comes very close to their level of comfort at a much lower price. This is a proven company with a 10 year guarantee. It has a very sophisticated, upscale look that will blend in well with any decor. This is a very good chair in its own right, but it's an incredible chair at this price point.
