As a lighting system integrator, I have to use so many different cable types that I honestly have (2) small cable bags filled with different USB cables (adapter use ends here). Using a laptop on a construction site with limited resources and internet access, this little guy can become a Swiss Army knife wonder! I can use this to extend WiFi signals from certain hardware and devices from USB to micro USB only. greater length. So now I can carry fewer things that I'll be scared of losing. My only concern is that the power comes from the USB socket, I wish it didn't use a standard wall wart with those old round plugs. Instead, I'd prefer it with a micro USB jack, a very common cable, with a USB adapter. The required voltage is only 5V, so it would be nice to be able to just power it from a USB battery and get even more portability and freedom to extend the range.
