Review on 🔧 Educational Insights Design Drill Play Marble Set by Joseph Cvetkovic

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Doesn't fit marble tracks yet

This set has a lot of potential but there are little things that don't impress it ► Build quality and design Not the best plastic, a bit flimsy, especially the hook where you put all the pieces with board associate. The back of the board has some rough edges (but nothing that might hurt you) and the coasters don't hold the perforated board securely enough for little hands. The overlay is quite small and therefore limits your creativity when creating a maze. It comes with a few puzzle maps that weren't too hard, and you get very few of them, which is a shame. It only includes a plastic ball and while it hasn't been tested I don't think a regular ball will work with it. ► Setup You need 3 AAA batteries to get the drill to work. Put the board back in and you're good to go. Very easy. The kids got the practice right away and started experimenting with their own maze before looking at the cards. ► Play After initial surprise, the children switched to the puzzle map. This is a good starting point as they know which pieces work well with other pieces and the real fun starts here as they start experimenting and creating their own maze. However, it was a little overwhelming when you realized that the size of the breadboard severely limits the amount of accessories you can use, and it was a little frustrating for little ones. Even for older children, the cards are not too difficult✅ Pros: Easy to use, fun, multiple types of maze accessories❌ Cons: Build quality, limited space for creativity, few puzzle cards, a plastic ball Overall, it's a good concept that isn't carried out well enough . Would wait for a second iteration of this game or a big set or another brand. I will probably rebuild this kit for use on a regular breadboard.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Has flaws
