You won't smell like ants more than 1 foot away or less. When they open and stick to things, they smell pleasant and fragrant. But you'd be right on top of it to feel anything at all. Once you leave and leave and then come back to see if you feel anything remotely pleasant about the area, you feel nothing at all. I was hoping that over time they would smell nice in the area, but that's definitely not the case. Pretty boring.
