Functional steps back, aesthetic steps forward

First off, I've been using Plantronics Legend headsets for many years and I've been swapping them out because the batteries aren't holding a charge. I've always been a fan of Plantronics headsets. I've had a Voyager 5200 UC for about a month and am very disappointed with this hardware. Here's why: The two-material construction, reminiscent of rubber and hard plastic, has "sharp" edges where the two materials meet. Not as convenient as Legend. The micro-USB charging port on the bottom is SUPER handy for charging without proprietary adapters, but there's no reason it can't be used on the Voyager Legend too. The UC Bluetooth adapter is larger, with a more annoying and less informative light, doesn't have a better range or benefit from the Legend UC adapter. When the Voyager Legend is paired with both a UC adapter/laptop and a phone, it can be manually switched between the two audio devices by pressing the main button. However, the 5200 doesn't have this feature that I could find. When listening to audio from a computer, ANY noise coming from the phone (email notification, loading notification, or even just playing a game with the phone on mute) interrupts the audio from the computer for a while. "There's no reason the Legend and 5200 can't use the same headphones. They are designed so differently that they are not interchangeable. Having spare headphones from one when you switch to another just feels like a cheap Chinese knockoff. Between the joining of the two materials and even the movement of the mic boom rotation, it definitely does NOT feel like a $150 headset. Very disappointed that I saved and spent all my Christmas and Birthday Revain gift cards on this headset which I really don't like.
