Teaches kids vinyl etiquette.
This player costs less than a good stylus, but it plays music. As a gift for my 7 year old son this is a fragile toy which I hope will last long enough for him to learn vinyl etiquette. The sound quality is what you would expect from a ceramic pickup and tiny speakers. The vocals are easy to read, the bass is not, ideal for the children's room. I give it 5 stars for my purpose; an inexpensive way to teach my son the joys and responsibilities of vinyl reproduction while protecting my own collection.
