Review on πŸ”¦ Pack of 2 LIGHTESS Gooseneck Wall Sconces in Black with Dimmable Switch, Industrial Barn Lights Vintage Farmhouse Wall Lamp, CY-8B by Yasmine Sepulveda

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Wouldn't recommend in sconces

It was a nightmare to assemble and install. The instructions were grim too. You can plug them directly into the wall or use them with a 6ft cord and switch. I needed a wired light so I went with the second option. The problem arose because the wires, which are usually the same color on the lighting unit as the cable, were completely different. Normally, red meets red, white meets white, and black meets black. This light has 5 different wire colors. And the quality of the wire was so light it was ridiculous. I spent almost an hour trying to figure out which was which. I had to strip and cut more of the wire at the ends because it became worn and badly damaged. After figuring out the connections (I have a photo of the correct connection in my review) I had to install a wall mount. Usually, wall mounts have permanently welded screws that protrude. That's what the lid goes through and then you have a lid on the outside to protect it. These didn't have it. You need to thread the main main bolt and secure it with a nut. So cheap. After installing the mount on the wall with the included hardware, I had to push the wires into a small junction box to make the connections I mentioned earlier. Then glued the overlay and voila! I had a sconce (then repeat for another sconce!) so many extra, unnecessary steps. I installed about 20 wall lights. It was the biggest pain in you-know-what. You can tell that instead of TRYING to make a reasonably quality product, the company cut corners where it could save money. As a result, this thing feels cheap and uncomfortable to install.
