Narrow tip and two handles fit well allowing you to grip very thin items. So for jewelry work it is good. I bought to try and fix a broken stainless steel chain. It was able to get the job done. None of the pliers I found at hardware stores were up to the job. They are made in Pakistan. Looks like they'll last a while. I actually broke some pliers from the hardware store by squeezing them too hard, and I'm not that strong. I squeezed hard because my hands didn't close very well. These pliers are better made and better designed, but still not designed to be squeezed that hard. I think that when using these pliers, some sort of elevation would be nice too. They are not intended for car repair.
