I was quite skeptical about the blue light filtering and bought these glasses as 4.0 reading glasses. However, after a few weeks of use, I noticed that my eyes stopped hurting. I spend all my time at work in front of the computer and at home reading books on my iPad (I also surf the internet a lot) and my eyes started to hurt a lot. No longer! Pretty amazing. Of course, 4.0 also helped a lot, but the "no more pain" effect is unexpected and very pleasant. This is of course very individual, but it helped me.
