This is plastic. Good thing they came in a 3-pack. The first broke on the 5th hole. The spring popped out along with the plastic wrap. I was able to slide the cladding back around the piece. But I couldn't put the pen back in. I just couldn't figure out how to get the spring back in. Luckily I had a set of three with me. I changed it at the turn and the second one worked for 9 holes. I don't know how long it will be next time. I am switching to another manufacturer.
