Use aluminum sliding paste for threads! Then it's perfect.
Ideal for the car at a very good price. Be sure to use an aluminum based lubricant like Lubriplate on the threads that connect the cover to the case. The thread is very tight, aluminum metal on metal it can gall and jam, maybe not even secure to the end. Do not use copper based compound, it will react with aluminum and cause corrosion. The specified torque between cap and cartridge body is only 10 ft-lbs. Be careful and use a torque wrench. The person who changed the oil previously used an impact wrench to install it and the parts froze together so I had to buy this replacement.
