My mother in law gave us a set of these knives many years ago. They are as sharp today as they were then. I had to take another set. I use them when I cook food. The length is perfect for cleaning. I put them in the dishwasher and they discolored. When I got the new ones I decided to hand wash them. I wanted my others to match these so I searched the internet and found Mother Mag & Aluminum Polish. Walmart sells it. I took the time to polish the grips on my old ones. The dullness was gone immediately. Now they are combined with new ones. They're not as shiny as new, so I can take my moms out and polish them again. You have to take care of it. They came in a very nice box if you want to give them as a gift.
