I work alone, work from home and take care of a 1 year old and a 3 year old. I don't have a dishwasher so I use a lot of disposables. I always prefer something useful for the earth, it's only one time use after all. These plates are made from sugar cane and trees had to be felled to make these plates. 11 inches is a big size which makes it very roomy. However, they are a little flimsy and I wouldn't recommend using them on anything liquid as the plate will definitely get wet. Also, the way the edges are cropped looks pretty messy. The rims are cracked as if cut with a knife, which does not look very good, see photo. Although this is a one-time use only, quality control is still important.
