I've wanted to have more ports in my home for a long time to make an electronics charging station as I usually charge my laptop a lot. I also need a few more USB ports to work with as there are only two on my work laptop and they are in use. If I want to use a flash drive, I have to unplug my wireless mouse, save the item to my desktop, and then plug my mouse back in. This little device gives you 4 extra slots which is a game changer. I take the second one with me to work and use it to completely set up the charging station. The only criticism is that the cable needs to be longer. It's great for connecting to a laptop, but I wanted to put a charging station in the guest kitchen and because of the short cord, I have to turn the unit on to plug into an outlet.
