An excellent processor overall. Initially, I intended to build my computer on an AMD FX-6300 or Phenom II X4 970 processor, but when I did the math, I discovered that the system on a "cheap" AMD would cost 2022 more. Due to the high 125 W TDP of AMD products, you cannot get a cheap cooler, and you therefore require a cooler motherboard. Additionally, an AMD power supply requires at least 500–550 watts. 400–450 watts are sufficient for the i3-3240, unless of course you have a video card that is extremely cool. then grab a stronger PSU as well. By the way, the processors from Intel's rival use 2.5 times as much energy. The manufacturing process used by AMD is 32 Nm and 45 Nm. Therefore, decide for yourself what would be more profitable for you to purchase. Everything suits me, and I don't regret getting the processor from Intel. You can buy a Core I5 after a year or two without upgrading the complete system, but only if there are enough applications and games that are multi-core optimized. If you don't often convert videos and play Metro, a Core i3 will last you for two to three years. And there are no FPS drops; the tanks on this Intel just fly.
