If you want to use only solar power for Topen gate opener , you need bigger batteries 12v 18Ah not 12v 12Ah. I have some problems with the power because I use the gate opener with photo cell. It needs more power to operate the system. The 12v 18Ah also save more energy for the cloudy days. No one can predict the weather. I learned in the hard way. Make sure to fully charge the batteries before connect to the solar system, and charge the batteries with home charger when you have a long continue cloudy days.
