Despite many negative reviews I've read, the pan fits perfectly. I haven't had a problem and I have a theory as to why others have it. The filter extension is held in place by 3 screws, but only two are used for the filter itself (which goes through the filter extension). To fit the 3rd bolt you will need to remove the valve body bolt and use a longer bolt instead. People probably think that there is no need to install a 3rd bolt because the filter is only held by 2 bolts. Extracting the valve body screw requires additional work. Well, the head of the existing valve body screw interferes with the filter extension and prevents it from fitting tightly into the valve body. This tilts the filter extension and pushes it down about 1/4 inch on one side (which btw corresponds to the gap when people report that the pan doesn't fit with the extension). what came in the box sucked. That was a lot of talk. I hope this helps someone one day.
