I like the length of the cable and how it works with laptop hard cases and other USB-C ports. Functionality: Without even connecting any other USB-C cables, I connected 3 USB-A cables: a Bluetooth-based mouse adapter, a wired Xbox 360 controller, and an external WD portable hard drive. While all three were able to read correctly for a while, it wasn't long before they started (I assume) drawing too much power from the laptop's USB-C ports and repeatedly disconnecting/reconnecting. A wired Xbox 360 controller works fine with only one cable connected. The WD hard drive worked as the only USB-A cable for about an hour before it started behaving strangely. Finally, the wireless USB-A Bluetooth mouse kept disconnecting despite being the only one connected. I had the same issues with a USB-C HyperDrive hub. If you're looking for a simple USB-A to USB-C solution, I found JSAUX USB-C to USB-A 3.0 Adapter 2-Pack, [Side-by-Side] Aluminum Thunderbolt 3 -Type-C adapter" proven ". Just note that with a hard case, you can only connect one of these on either side of the laptop.
