We bought this last June 7 months ago our second and it is absolutely lovely when used properly. But this particular model didn't work properly for a very long time and became quite problematic. The motor does not run constantly (seems to stop and start when switched on). The fan seems to be enough to get the jellyfish moving "for a while," but then they just stop and sink to the bottom while the light is still on and it's supposedly still working. Or they seem to get stuck in the filter. below. The old model we had wasn't that problematic and worked for years. but this one slows down or seems to stop several times every time we turn it on and it's very frustrating. I don't know if it's still under warranty, but we're very disappointed with this model or device. We know that dish soap is necessary and we always use clean distilled water, but we have to shake the aquarium often to get the jellyfish to separate and move again. I don't know if it's under warranty as I didn't expect any problems and didn't keep any warranty papers after we used it for the first time.
