They were a lifesaver on a recent move. My girlfriend and I just moved about 20 miles and we had to figure out how to transport all of our clothes. We really didn't feel like taking off all our hanging clothes, folding them, packing them, moving them around and then unpacking them again for such a short move, and U-Haul-packed closets are so expensive for something we're about to do use for such a short period of time. Thanks to these clothes rails, we were able to transport our clothes car by car instead. The rod is very durable and of high quality. Her car has hooks and mine has handles and it worked great for both. It can handle a tremendous amount of weight, and I bet you'll have hook and grip problems before you have problems with the weight it can handle. We packed as many hangers on this thing as we could and actually moved it to a new location rather than clearing out all the hangars and the weight wasn't an issue at all. I'm sure they will come in handy on future moves and trips where we need to take loose clothes with us.
