We have tried several training collars in the past. One used Bluetooth to connect to our phone. He had a very short range (less than 30 feet). The other had a separate remote but a disappointing range. This one has a wide range. I wouldn't say it was a full 1000 feet, but it was a lot more than 500. We use clay first. If our dog doesn't react, we use vibration. We stopped using electric shocks because they cause too much fear. However, the shock function works if you want to use it. The collar is adjustable and fits well. This is a good product at a reasonable price.
