Review on Premium Frozen Water Line Tool - Water Line Buddy: Quick and Easy Refrigerator Water Dispenser Unfreezing Solution by Sfl Richardson

The concept of the tool seems good but I found the quality of the product was not enough to get the job done. The tube is so thin that it cannot be passed through the waterline and thus does not provide access to the ice jam. I could barely fit 8 inches by 36 inches in the door. In addition, the syringe must be large enough to apply adequate pressure to push the clog through the bottom of the waterline after disconnecting the hose from the plastic valve at the bottom of the unit. I also bought another product (Clear Line Tool) designed for the same task. The snorkel was much better (stiffer) and went through the snorkel with little effort, but the soft plastic bottle it was attached to didn't provide enough pressure to dry out the line. I worked on the clog for over 3 hours using a combination of both tools before I was able to get a clean stream of water. Sad part of the story. The next morning the line froze again even though I increased the temperature of the freezer. I actually found that I could thread a piece of rope through a line of molten water, which releases water when it freezes, as it seems every morning.
