I connected this part to the ATM fuse pigtail to make a connection on the generator for connecting an external battery charger. A ⅞ inch diameter hole was drilled in the plastic battery cover to accept the back of the "SAE connector". A drawing with detailed dimensions should be provided, or at least installation instructions, but this is not the case. For my application I had to reverse the colors so that the red wire of the fuse was connected to the black wire. It has a good dust cover covering the port - I doubt it's "weatherproof". With a little effort it was just what I needed.
