I have a 1996 Corvette LT1 and it requires a minimum octane rating of 89 and preferably 91-93. Unfortunately, the small town I live in only sells 87 octane gas, so I fill up a bottle every time I fill up. To be honest the car runs harder on this compound than any other 89-93 octane I've bought out of town to date. I would recommend it if you have a higher compression engine and need to prevent detonation and "knock" or "chatter" in your engine when accelerating or going uphill.
