I put this Tripp Lite in front of my treadmill when I experienced a severe short circuit on a utility pole outside my home due to a bad connection. Even though the lights in my house dimmed almost completely and then increased dramatically to their normal brightness, this surge protector saved the treadmill and boombox from damage, which were plugged in and on at the time. The energy provider came and fixed the problem with the support, treadmill and ghetto blaster showed no signs of wear. Highly recommended and the price is right! I plan to buy a few more.
