I trusted the reviews that said to order one size larger, but I received three times more. I have 20W in Old Navy stretch pants and probably closer to 22W in other pants (because Old Navy tends to be big in plus size pants). I could probably fit in 2X, but it would be ugly if I tried to sit down. My weight is fairly balanced throughout my body, although I'm probably a little pear shaped (I'm a size smaller on top than bottom). 3X is perfect. I ordered another pair of canoes that were the exact same style but without the spandex (this version has it). I have to say that I love the stretched version even more. So comfortable. I'm 6 feet tall and the inseam is a few inches above the knee. Great length that doesn't bulge.
