Check blade alignment before use.
It pulled hair terribly out of the box. The upper knife was bent and pushed too far forward. After I made the adjustment (loosen the screws on the bottom, slide the top blade back so it was completely straight and the top blade troughs were behind the bottom blade troughs) it worked better. There are still the occasional snags, but it works well enough for home use. I wouldn't trust that in a commercial or professional setting. I have a Wahl Competition blade that works out of the box, which is what I've come to expect from it.
