I have used HP desktops and printers for many years and have been very satisfied. This computer failed after five months. I ran the built in diagnostics and Windows still won't boot. I called HP support and spent about 90 minutes following the technician's instructions and trying different options. Windows still wouldn't start and the technician told me the only thing left to do was reformat. We all know what it means to restart not only Windows but everything else that was on the computer. Reformat failed. I contacted HP to let them know the reformat failed and asked to return the device. I was told to keep trying to fix it that if the reformat fails (what those options might be - radically reformat) there are other options. If this was a home computer or one of several work machines I could spend more time fixing it, but this is a work machine and the only one. It had to be replaced quickly to meet the deadline. I don't want to shut down a running computer and spend hours trying to fix it. Serious? If reformatting doesn't work, is it even possible to fix the PC? Therefore, I advise you to look into the warranty before buying this PC (or any other PC).
