Strong bag, I put very heavy gifts in these bags and they didn't rip. And they're HUGE, so packing odd-shaped items really helps. They are edgier than they look in the picture - I couldn't keep my gifts looking as neat. I had to tuck or trim the excess for a better fit. And yes, it is not easy to evenly gather and tie the bodice with a ribbon. I used ribbon to make the first tie and then tied a heavier gauge ribbon and bow over it. The material is MUCH shinier than it appears in this photo. It is very reflective and colorful. Not a very subtle color for a wedding gift, maybe more suitable for other occasions. But I will use them again. You can use red or gold for Christmas.
