Review on Sennhesier MX685 Adidas Sports Headphones by Vanessa Garcia

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sounds like a clean balance, but the cables are flimsy.

I'm not a big fan of headphones as I only use them for training and running. The best headphones I've used since the Sennheiser MX685 have been the Nakamichi T8000 headphones, but I can't find them anywhere. They were both comfortable and had a balanced, accurate sound. I used them for training and running for about 2 years before the sweat started to eat into the riders. Since then I've been using a lot of Panasonic, JVC, Samsung, Sony and Puma in-ear headphones. The Pumas were sporty oriented but very uncomfortable and emphasized low frequencies or bass. Now Sennheiser, I first used them while running and was amazed at the sound quality, I haven't heard details clearer since the Nakamichi days. The best thing about the MX685 is how comfortable they are. I haven't adjusted them since I put them on and no complaints. But I have doubts about the durability of the cable as the headphones are sports oriented. you are skinny I hope they hold up to the wear and tear of constant movement and the occasional shake while working out or running. I want them to use flat thicker cables similar to punches. Only time will tell, but my first assessment is that they're worth it, even though Sennheiser discontinued them. Because of this, if you can still find them from one of the many sellers that work on Amazon, they're a real bargain now.
