I bought this to no avail and then had a surprisingly similar experience with the OKX 16-1 model. Both had the same problem: the second monitor (via HDMI) is not recognized by my Macbook Pro (latest Intel model). I found this fact ironic as the two docking stations (OKX and Tiergrade) are very similar to each other and come in the same package despite being two different companies. The included USB3 connector was too big for my laptop's Thunderbolt 3 port. . Or at least I thought so.? It took a lot of effort, and the connector "snapped" eventually. I asked Tiergrade about it and their customer support was nice enough but completely unhelpful. I have not contacted OKX support. I felt like it was a lost cause and the two companies probably have the same Chinese parent company. (They also have strikingly similar websites.) I was disappointed and paid an extra $100 for this: 14-in-1 USB-C Plug-in Dock with Thunderbolt 3 Certification, Up to 96W Charging, Dual -Monitor β compatible with Mac and Windows, 2x DisplayPort and HDMI 2.0, 7x USB, Ethernet, Audio, Micro SD/SD. I connected both HDMI ports and everything worked straight away. The USB cable was a perfect fit. I am very happy and relieved after feeling cheated by OKX and Tiergrade.
