I don't know about other sticky mats but these are terrible. I had them hold my diamond art trays in place instead of flipping the drill bits and spilling them. ok yes it is But once you put something on it, good luck trying to rip it off! They are super sticky and gooey! Even removing it from my desk was a problem. Therefore I do not recommend these sticky mats for diamond drill bits. But they are perfect for catching bugs! Just stick a few on the wall and you're done! But then you can peel off the paint when removing. So maybe don't do that.
