I live in rural North Carolina and needed a light in my driveway. These lights are wonderful. I bought three of these to light up a 30ft x 30ft parking lot and driveway. I placed them on top of three 14' 3" PVC pipes spaced about 15' apart. I buried and cemented a 3 foot long PVC pipe in the ground and installed a light (with south facing solar panels) 11 feet above it Ground This arrangement provides ample lighting within a radius of approximately 25 feet Lanterns are light enough that the PVC poles provide a solid base even in hurricane conditions They provide enough light to see on the darkest of nights Built in solar panel and lithium battery, no problem if an external solar panel or battery source is needed. I set them to sunset/dawn with motion so they only turn on when motion is detected and only in the dark. There are other settings but this one works for me its just great they have been working flawlessly since i installed them i would highly recommend these lights to anyone un d would buy them again anytime. When I get a chance I'll upload some photos.
