Review on 🔌 CalDigit USB-C Pro Dock: 2x DisplayPort 1.2, 85W Charging, Thunderbolt 3, UHS II SD, USB, LAN, Audio, USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 Compatible by Dexter Diaz

Bought this dock for my Macbook Pro and ran into a couple of issues: The ethernet port isn't really used - every time the laptop goes to sleep it generates a kind of interference that makes everything connected to the network switch connected to the dock to stop communication. I contacted support and they said this is a known issue and hopefully will be fixed in a software update. They sent me a beta driver to try - it actually solved this particular problem, but I still experience frequent network instability when connected via ethernet (weird things like the Time Machine backup fails or Safari keeps loading a webpage , which I pull off my LAN, which boots up instantly over Wi-Fi) Dual Display Ports - The right (when viewing the dock from the rear) DisplayPort connection does not work reliably. When the device wakes up, it turns on the laptop's built-in display and the monitor connected to the left DisplayPort. The monitor on the right DisplayPort connector stays blank until I reconnect the docking station or DisplayPort cable. Caldigit support suggested it might be a software issue but suggested replacing the device. Unfortunately, I rely on this device for work, and it still works - I can't be without it, no matter how many weeks it takes to ship round-trip (and there's no advance replacement service like Apple's). It's also not broken enough that I can go out and buy a replacement. I also agree with Caldigit that the problem is in the software, either in the dock's firmware or in the drivers on the Mac. In any case, a replacement block probably won't solve my problems. If I had known about these problems, I might have chosen a different product. Hope these issues will be fixed soon.
