It had a manufacturing defect that I was able to fix before first use. This works, however the 1234yf socket style quick connect fitting that comes with the vehicle with the 1234yf system provides a system pressure port. Once the pressure is gone, the connection is lost. This is a problem when you want to pull the vacuum. If you want to create a vacuum you need to get the regular male ends that connect and then screw on to open the valve. But to some extent it helped to connect the r132a hoses to the 1234yf system which was the goal.
