The most frustrating thing about these timers is that you have to manually disconnect the battery. I'm used to a bit smarter technology these days. Usually I'm in the middle of cooking and when the timer goes off I press the button to turn off the alarm but the timer doesn't turn off. I've had to change a lot of batteries because I forgot that this item is stupid and I really need to flip the switch. The timer is also disappointing - annoying beeps when setting the time - its setting is as loud as when the alarm clock rings. A magnet on the back is a good idea but the magnet used is weak and doesn't stick well to the fridge door or side where I would expect a lightweight item like this to hold easily. You see, these timers are cheap. They don't cost that much and you get what you pay for. What I saved on buying these not-so-cheap timers I will use up on batteries. I just hate that I have to remember to manually flip the switch to turn it off.
