Very nicely made device. Comes with a higher DS3231SN chip. BUT. This device is still configured to charge a coin cell battery when you add one. This means you can't use a regular CR2032 battery for backup power without modifying the board. I removed one star as it could damage your devices or even cause a battery fire if you don't report this. See attached photo. The Vcc module is connected to a 5V supply and you can see I am getting 4.8V across the battery terminals. Search the internet to find out how to modify the board to remove the diode or resistor that connects the positive battery terminal to Vcc. This makes it safe to use a regular CR2032 battery. There are many opinions as to whether a battery should be used in such a charger. So do your research and find out which route works best for you.
