We have a large family of 7 cars and we spend a lot of money on air conditioning charging and repairing at professional auto repair shops. After watching a lot of YouTube videos and reading online blogs with how-to's, I decided to try it myself and bought this pump and gauge kit hoping it would work for the job. no louder when it works. The pump barely vibrated when it was on, which was good because I had to turn the unit on continuously for about 30 minutes when I was defusing air from the air conditioners and the pump felt pretty cold - seems well built in cooling and it seems like it was designed to work for a long time. The only maintenance you need to do is make sure there is always enough oil in the pump, that's important. This is easy to check on this pump as there is a large sight glass right on the front panel that shows at a glance how much oil is left. The manifold kit comes with high quality color coded hoses and metal fittings. The instruction manual was quite clear and understandable. According to the manual, the hoses are fully compatible with the refrigerants R22, R134A, R410A and R407C. I liked that the manifold gauge block had a hook on the back which meant I could easily hang it on the hood and see what was going on at all times - the gauges are big enough to be able to see exactly how much vacuum you have. pull without having to constantly lean against it. Reading marks are very clear. The valves and other hardware feel nice, are easy to use and I haven't had any issues with leaking or loose valves. This set of sensors is well put together and appears to be working very well. It was a really useful set to buy. Once you stop feeling jittery the first time, charging your AC system will be pretty easy with this pump and manifold set. I've worked on 4 cars so far and the unit was borrowed from 2 friends and the pump and gauge kit didn't go wrong. It can hold 30 inches of mercury and hold it for as long as you need it, so it should fit just about any car AC system that you need to service.
