Review on Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 V2 Blue LED Square Frame Fan, Air Balanced Curve Blade, Sealed Bearing, PWM Control for Computer Case & Liquid Radiator by Bill Howard

Just perfect for my build

So I rebuilt my old PC with a new motherboard and case and the first thing I had to do was take care of the cooling in this new case and I wanted a small style. I salvaged a nice set of Corsair fans from an old tower, but one was blue and the other was white. I decided white was too bright and went for blue, but I needed a companion for my blue fan that was at least as good as the old Corsair. Unfortunately the Corsair model I was looking for is no longer in stock and the newer ones were over the top (RGB controls etc) and not what I needed (and not what I wanted to pay for). Then I saw this Cooler Master SickleFlow and knew I had found my fan. In every respect, it's at least equal, if not superior, to the older Corsair fan. The fan itself is slightly larger in size and, unlike the old fan, has rubber buffers. The center spindle is also slightly larger, but not enough to be noticeable. The blue LED isn't exactly the same color, but it's close enough. It gets lighter or darker depending on the voltage/fan speed setting, which is what I was looking for. Hooking it up was easy and the rubber grommets are a really nice addition to keep the noise down. The fan is absolutely silent unless I crank it all the way up in Turbo mode, at which point hum and hum is to be expected. However, in most cases it is silent. If you are looking for a high quality blue LED fan that can fill a cooling gap, this is a good choice. Five stars.
