The magnetic ring fits perfectly into the lens filter holder, screws well into the lens hood and snaps securely into place. You can rotate the polarizer with the lens hood on, which is a big plus. Overall a great system, I've been using the Kase magnet system on my 24-70 and 70-200 for about a year and love it. Much easier than plug-in, rectangular or screw filters!
