EDIT: Getting a replacement might just be a coincidence. Will be updated. EDIT 2: Got a replacement. Works fine but would still recommend not leaving the chest in the freezer for too long past freezing. Mixed feelings about it. Absolutely perfect spheres, "water diamonds", don't even see ice in the glass, it's damn clear. until you leave the chest in the freezer for more than 30 hours (36 hours for me) once. The chest itself has expanded and deformed to hold more water and the tips of the balls are now never shaped (see image) because now the water flows towards the chest, not into the shape of the balls. I've tried many workarounds, but nothing has worked so far. I'll update if something works. Overall: Great product, hands down. But be prepared to set the alarm for 30 hours in the future every time, because if you're busy and leave it there even once too long, your clear ice will be gone.
