I have had a Blackened Decker 8 cup stand mixer for over 15 years! It still works, but the bowl is slightly cracked on the lid. I decided to replace it and it was the closest thing to the old one! I read the reviews and almost didn't get it because several people said it was difficult to clean and food scraps got stuck in the bottom of the base machine. After I took a leap of faith and it arrived. I found these people didn't read the instructions which clearly state you can't remove the blade until you remove the bowl! It comes out easily by lifting straight up from the base and leaving nothing on the base!. It's a lot easier to block than my old one and does the job perfectly! My old one still works so it's now delegated to the pet feed grinder I make!
