Follow the installation instructions online as no detailed instructions came with the product. After installing the door seal, I noticed that the door seal had worse gaps than my old 20-year-old seal. I tried using a hair dryer as suggested, but the cutouts in the door seal didn't move. After installing this new freezer door seal, I had more leaks than the old one. I ended up stuffing paper towels into the gasket (from the inside) where there was an indentation (about 15 to 20 spots around the top and sides of the gasket) and left it like that for a couple of weeks. Eventually this widened the dents and I removed the paper towels. Now I only have a few small leaks at the top of the freezer instead of the huge ones when I first installed it. Waste of nearly $100 on this seal. Also, it doesn't appear to have magnets like my old filling did. When my old seal was new and you closed the door, it was very difficult to open the door. This seal makes the door easy to open.
