Warnings not expressed by manufacturer

I don't know if this has anything to do with the problems @K SANFORD had, but this and most other z590 boards are not very compatible with other operating systems than Windows 10. While about 900 million PCs run Windows 10, about 200 million use older versions and millions more use Linux. I've tried installing Windows 8.1 and Linux on this motherboard, as well as an AsRock motherboard purchased from another vendor, but as @K SANFORD complained, the NICs don't work. Also, NvME PCIe 4.0 is sluggish and Thunderbolt is not fully supported. Of course, the manufacturers do not specify this. They want you to upgrade. If the Windows 10 operating system provided a compelling reason to pay for an operating system upgrade, there is no doubt that many of the 200+ million people who do not use Windows 10 would do so. But unfortunately I digress.
