Fixing the infamous intermittent power problem. Some people have reported having trouble accessing the light switch. It's pretty easy on the DC27. First, pull out the stick and remove the handle. There are 4 Torx 15 screws holding the switch housing in place. Remove these 4 screws and gently pull the case forward. The switch is in the front, pull forward and remove the faston connectors, replace with a new switch. Reattach the cover (don't force it if it doesn't fit, the switch may not be fully seated). When tightening the screws, make sure that the longer screws are at the bottom and the short ones are at the top.
